About the college
It is located in the city of Nalut in the Nafusa Mountains, about 270 kilometers west of the city of Tripoli. It was established by decision number (69) of the year 1996 under the name of the Higher Institute for Teacher Preparation in Nalut with a three-year academic system. Upon graduation, the student is awarded a higher diploma that qualifies them for teaching at the primary and intermediate levels.

The student is awarded the following undergraduate degrees after graduating from the College of Education:
1- Bachelor's degree in Arts and Education for the preparation of teachers for primary, intermediate, and secondary education in one of the following literary specializations:
(Islamic Studies – English Language – French Language – Sociology – Geography – Psychology – Arabic Language – Classroom Teacher – History).
2- Bachelor’s degree in Science and Education for the preparation of teachers for primary, intermediate, and secondary education in one of the following scientific specialties:
( Chemistry – Life Sciences – Physics – Computer Science – Mathematics )
Admission requires obtaining a high school diploma (scientific section) and (literary section) with a percentage not less than the percentage approved by the Ministry of Education, in addition to completing the registration and selection procedures according to the regulations.
The duration of study to obtain a Bachelor's degree or a License degree is four academic years, according to the approved curriculum for each department.
