About the department

The department was then established in the academic year 2002/2003, and its aim is to prepare specialized educational teachers in teaching computer science at various educational stages. The department provides modern educational curricula for different levels of education.

The Computer Science Department aims to provide high-quality educational programs in the fields of computer science and its applications, conduct scientific research that keeps pace with modern technological developments, and contribute to community service through consulting and training, thereby enhancing the university's role in sustainable development.

The semester system according to the decision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (465) for the year 2022 regarding the approval of the regulatory framework for the Colleges of Education at public Libyan universities, where the semester system has been initiated for the academic year 2022/2023.
