The Faculty of Education Nalut participates in the international conference of the Faculty of Languages at the University of Benghazi.
Professor Samihah Al-Sarar Milad, a French language instructor at the Faculty of Education in Nalut, participated last Tuesday in the first international conference of the Faculty of Languages with a scientific paper titled:
(artificial intelligence: a tool to facilitate the process of learning and teaching)
The conference activities commenced on the morning of Tuesday, May 5, 2026, under the slogan "Languages in the Age of Artificial Intelligence," at the headquarters of the Libyan House of Representatives, with the participation of a select group of academics, researchers, and specialists in the fields of languages and modern technologies, organized by the Education Affairs Committee of the council in collaboration with Benghazi University.
The scientific paper discussed "The Advancement of Artificial Intelligence as a Tool to Facilitate the Learning and Teaching Process."
It is worth noting that the conference has several main themes, the most prominent of which are the relationship between language and artificial intelligence, the impact of technological transformations on the development of natural languages, the interaction between humans and machines, in addition to machine translation and computational linguistics, and the quality of Arabic text translation. It also discusses issues of education and linguistic interaction, including the integration of artificial intelligence in language teaching, and the identity of the author in light of the overlap between human creativity and machine production. The conference lasted for two days, during which it was held.
Participation of academics from universities (Benghazi, Zawiya, Gharian, Nalut, Tripoli, Jufra, Tobruk, and Derna), as well as international universities from (France, Morocco, India, Sudan, Cameroon, and Algeria) via video conferencing technology, where they presented scientific papers addressing various topics, including language learning platforms, applications of artificial intelligence in education, teaching oral skills using digital media, in addition to issues of understanding based on artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
The conference concluded with a celebration of the International Day of La Francophonie, attended by the French ambassador "Terry Valla" and the cultural attaché "Frédéric Vincent." During the event, it was announced that the University of Benghazi has joined the Agency of Francophone Universities.
